I also suggested access for the disabled and infirm.  The new trains have disabled access but that is not much use if one cannot get onto the platform.  I forgot to mention that there should be help for mothers with buggies.  It is such a struggle for them also.  As you say, £80,000 would be a big help towards a lift as long as it was not vandalised.

Some good news, after an understandable delay because of Covid, Great Northern have started to announce what the money will be spent on:

For Bowes Park, it looks like this will be: 

• Customer Information Screen
• Landscaping
• Waiting Shelter

Thanks for the update Daniel!

I think we should continue the conversation (and perhaps start a campaign) about accessibility, because it's currently non-existent. However, pretty much the entire line is inaccessible, so there is no point in just improving one station - you wouldn't be able to get out at the other end of your journey anyway. Does anyone know to whom we would be addressing these concerns?
