I'd appreciate any recommendations for a builder/Hetas approved engineer to knock out my fireplace and install a wood burning stove OR a recommendation for someone to line the flue and install the stove. many thanks. Nicki

I just wanted to update this discussion and can highly recommend 'The Fireplace Studio' in Whetstone. They have just knocked out my '30's fireplace and installed a wood burning stove. They were professional, prompt, friendly and have done an excellent job. Highly rated and great to use a local company. www.thefireplacestudio.co.uk

Thanks for the recommendation Nicki. We are thinking about having a wood burning stove or similar installed. I've been somewhat startled by the quote I have had so it will be good have another to compare it to.
