Hello Everyone

As concerned residents following the Pinkham Way Waste facility proposal, we were interested to receive a 'Resident (s)' letter in the post from Haringey Council date 06/06/2012 regarding a formal application by a local resident Mr Faulkner of Muswell Hill to register part of the Pinkham Way site (formerly known as the Frien Barnet sewage works) as a town or Village Green, The area in claimed to qualified through use of the land by a significant number of local residents for a period of more than 20 years prior to July 2010 for lawful sports and pastimes as or right.

Interesting because we do not live in Haringey, but obviously something everyone local should be made aware of, to get behind, as if this submission is passed we can probably wave goodbye to the waste plant plans. I spoke to some nieghbours over the weekend and they had not seen had this letter.

The full details of the submission to designate the Pinkham Way Development site as a "Village Green" are on the LB Haringey website http://www.haringey.gov.uk/villagegreen including information about how to have your say.

Consultation is open until July 20th.
