Despite being turned down by Haringey Planning, the people who want to install a telephone mast and equipment on the very tight corner at the top of Whittington Road , have now gone to the national planning inspectorate to appeal. Clearly, the views of residents about its impact on road safety have not impressed them! "This is the first I am hearing of this proposal and heavily object echoing many of the significant reasons stated above. I'm concerned that a telecoms operator says letters to school,nurseries,councillors and MPs have been sent but no reply.…"

There is a planning application -open for comments until July 17-for the establishment of a 15m monopole with 2no 300mm dishes , 3no equipment cabinets and associated ancillary works which would be placed on the corner of Bounds Green and Whittington Road-on the pavement from what I can see in the application!

Just back from the We Love Myddleton Road shop. Good turnout and lots of conversations as well as shopping. I said to Ali,one of our councillors,how good the paving looks around the Tube station. And how badly we need more paving especially around the bus stop on Bounds Green Road where the tarmac is cracked and we get huge puddles which fill up with rubbish.
