I looked into this when the former owners of our house left a bunch of stuff for us to dispose of. I was a bit shoked to find out that the organisation charges a £10 collection fee per pick up. Do you know if that policy still stands?

I've tried contacting one of the recommended organisations but the web address didnt work- this one listed in Resources section-
www.restorecommunityprojects.org.uk
I also tried a phone number but that was dead.
I need to recycle a sofa bed still in good condition but has to be carried downstairs. I will try other places but would prefer a charity to collect- any further recommendations?
We have used restore and we would highly recommend them. The project is fab as it gives local people jobs and opportunities to gain experience in 'restoring' furniture and appliances and is a very 'local' north london project.
