A pleasant walk through pretty and typically undulating Hertfordshire countryside.  From Bayford Station we head up into Bayford village and not too far on from the church pick up a path heading W through remote countryside.  As we reach the eastern edge of the Hatfield London Country Club we turn N up a bridleway to the village of  Little Berkhamsted and the possibility of a short drink stop at the Five Horseshoes.  We then head E across fields before looping S and then N along bridleways and byways through the woods to return to Bayford just downhill from the rear entrance to the Baker Arms.  For those that want it, we will stop there  for a post-walk drink and those wishing to return straight home will be directed downhill to Bayford Station.   Return trains from Bayford are at 17 and 47 minutes past the hour.
