Event Description

To Mark Armisitce Day Enfield's Library and Museum Service, will be publishing Reginald Shipway's World War I Diary. Published for the first time the diary tells the story of a soldier from Winchmore Hill who fought in the trenches at Cambrai, Amiens and at St. Quentin Canal in 1918.

From 11 November 2010 (Armistice Day) you will be able to view To view Reginald Shipway's World War I Diary as a free downloadable PDF bookfrom LB Enfields website.

There is an official launch event on 11 November at John Jackson Library 10.30am - 12 noon.

Editors John Clark (Local Historian) and Peter Brown (Information and Digital Citizenship Manager) will be reading excerpts from the diary and encouraging discussion afterwards. Everybody welcome!
