Here's what the CloudFest is about; the Bruce Grove Youth Centre is a few doors up from Number 7 Bruce Grove, the former home of Luke Howard, namer of clouds. It's the only Blue Plaque house in Tottenham and it's falling to bits. Haringey Council should be ashamed, but nothing is ever done about it. They granted planning permission to Southampton based Redwing Estates to turn it into flats. They've done nothing but sit on it. The roof is caving in, there is scaffolding attempting to hold it together and the hoardings are sad and rickety.
This year is the 150th anniversary of Luke Howard's death. We're celebrating his life, his achievements and clouds at the CloudFest. You'll be welcomed by the Bruce Grove Youth Club members, into their lovely garden.
The Tottenham Civic Society have written an open letter to English Heritage asking them to intervene and get the building sorted out. You can sign it if you'd like to support this.
The Bruce Castle Museum will be bringing a display about Luke Howard and you'll have an opportunity to make your own clouds!
Look out for The Cloud Appreciation Society, cloud art, cloud candyfloss and very special Luke Howard pizzas. And we might have some cloud themed music....
And yes, we'll have Ploughman's platters, courtesy of Filling the Gap
