Key Facts
Your local area is changing and Enfield Council would like to hear your view how it should change for the better...
The North Circular area, including New Southgate, and covering the wards of Bowes, Palmers Green and Southgate Green, is seeing some major investment and new development. You can help shape your area over the coming years by getting involved in the new planning document the Council is preparing, called the North Circular Area Action Plan.
Your views are very important to us!
You are invited to a Community Lunch on Saturday 4th February 2012, this a drop-in session anytime from 11:00am to 3.00pm.
Find out about the North Circular Area Action Plan, as well as view exhibitions about the New Southgate Master Plan, Ladderswood Regeneration proposals by Notting Hill Housing Trust and find information on a range of services including health and jobs

The event is designed to engage with the community, help communicate the regeneration proposals and explain the work of the South West Area Board whilst show casing some of the services of partner agencies.
Great to see so many familiar faces at the NCAAP event. No Notting Hill Housing Trust but would they dare show their face when they have just submitted a planning application form for 3 blocks of 5 storey high flats in the area. And that's just the start.
The overall problem seems to be that we, the local community, see our area as small ie narrow roads, 2 storey homes, pretty local school. Developers look at the big ugly bridge, wide A406 and big trucks racing through the area, they see 'big'. We want HOMES in-keeping with what we already have. Developers want PROPERTIES as big as they think they can get away with. It's all profit driven and not community focused.
Would NHHT like to meet with local community groups to discuss their plans for the area or are they just going to submit a string of planning applications and hope we don't notice?
