Event Description

This exhibition reveals the untold story of how Sikhs played such a disproportionately large role in the 'war to end all wars'. ‘Empire, Faith & War: The Sikhs and World War One' is an exhibition developed by the UK Punjab Heritage Association and will be displayed at the Asian Centre in Wood Green.

The display tells the forgotten story of India's massive contribution in terms of men, money and materials and shows how Indian troops, including Sikhs, arrived 100 years ago to help save the Western Front, and then went on to fight in many of the Great War's forgotten campaigns.

The exhibition will run 19 - 23 October, closed 22 October. Free entry and if you come at lunchtime, we do great value and delicious Asian food from 12.30 - 2pm every day!
