5. TIMETABLE Key dates in the current timetable are as follows:  October 2015 – procurement starts

 November 2015 – service specification finalised

 March 2016 – procurement ends

 April 2016 – contract awarded to successful provider

 October 2016 – new service starts, allowing 6 months for smooth transition

6. CONCLUSION The plan for commissioning an integrated NHS 111 and GP Out-of-Hours service across North Central London has been formed collaboratively over a period of more than a year, with significant engagement from local stakeholders. We know that our preferred approach is entirely in line with the national direction of travel indicated by NHS England, so we do not anticipate the need to significantly alter our plan following the publication of national commissioning guidance. We therefore propose to commence procurement on 2 October 2015, which will enable the new service to start in October 2016
