For Women's History Month in Haringey, a special free art workshop.
Want to get creative and challenge the status quo but don’t know where to start? Join artists from Collective Exchange in a creative badge-making workshop where we will look at, and discuss how language reinforces sexism: why do we say such things as; "Man up”, “Girly”, “Bossy”? Bring along your most despised examples of gender-biased language from social media, magazines and newspapers (past and present), and take part in the discussion and creativity.
During the workshop you will create your own badge using collage techniques. We hope your badges, when worn, will start conversations to challenge sexism beyond our workshops.
Activities suitable for young people (14 years+) and adults.
Space is limited - booking is essential: please book your place via Eventbrite (external link) and search for 'mind your language'
