Keep Britain Tidy declare next weekend to be the "Great British Spring Clean", and it's a good time to be out in the park giving it a tidy up.

The John O'Conner team spend a lot of time emptying bins and keeping the main open areas of the park free of litter, but there is always some litter buried in the brambles and bushes which they don't have time to get to. That's where we can help.

Plenty of hands and litter pickers can make a big difference to the park by clearing the hard-to-get litter. Please join us on Saturday morning. We will provide gloves and bags, but do make sure your footwear can cope with the muddy conditions.

Meet at the Park Information Centre in The Grove, Alexandra Park at 10.30am.
