Haringey Independent Cinema celebrates Black History Month with a screening of Spike Lee’s 1989 masterpiece Do The Right Thing.

As provocative and relevant today as it was 23 years ago, Do The Right Thing charts one sweltering day in the life of a predominantly black neighbourhood in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

This event will also feature a talk by Lindela Figlan from Abahlali base Mjondolo (South African Shack Dwellers Movement) speaking about what they are doing in the shanty towns around Durban.
