  • 11.10am  How Harringay Happened by John Hinshelwood, local historian & author
  • 11.50am  The Phoenix Cinema: A Century of Film by film historian, & Phoenix Cinema Trustee, Gerry Turvey
  • 12.30pm  Haringey Potters: the Roman kiln experiment: our young participants tell us how it was for them.
  • Lunch break
  • 1.50pm  From Green Lanes to Shopping City-  Wood Green High Road by local historian & author Albert Pinching
  • 2.25pm  History In The High Street: Burgess’s in Focus by Renata Pillay of Bruce Castle Museum
  • Tea break
  • 3.35pm  Restoration Music: Putting the Victorian Hill Organ Back Together Again by Father Luke Miller (Archdeacon of Hampstead), formerly of St Mary’s Lansdowne Road
  • From 4pm - a short walk leading to St Mary’s Church to see the organ and church and hear its music

The Archive Search Room will be open all day for questions on local history and family history. (Please note: this is an introduction to the service and not a time for research.)

Artist Jennie Pedley will lead workshops throughout the day making Magic Theatres; for children and adults alike!
