Stefan Dickers, Special Collections and Archives Manager at the Bishopsgate Institute, presents a History of Street Photography in London through the Institute's world-renowned collection.
The Bishopsgate Institute, established in 1895, is a cultural institute in the City of London that offers a cultural events programme, courses for adults, historic library and archive collections and community programme.
The Special Collections and Archives hold important historical collections which contain over 250,000 images of many of London’s famous landmarks as well as social and cultural scenes from the early 20th century.
Doors open at 7.30pm for the sale of refreshments and publications and close at 8pm. The main doors have to be closed at that time for security reasons, so anyone arriving after then will be unable to gain access.
A donation of £2 is requested from non-members.
