Hello all

Thanks for your help with photos, information and other things related to Lea Bridge station!

I know some of you already have this info but I just thought I would send it out in case some bits are missing… here is the schedule for the Lea Bridge opening next week, please pass on to others who may be interested!

Sunday 15th May

Provided engineering works finish on time, some trains will be stopping on the Sunday evening, but without any official events. Some of us will be there to get on the first trains.

The 20.14 from Tottenham Hale will be the first one, arriving Lea Bridge 20.18. The first one from Lea Bridge going north calls there at 20.21.

Monday 16th May

9.30-11.30- official opening event by Waltham Forest council and Abellio Greater Anglia. Includes music from Aunt Fortescue's Bluesrockers who played on the last day in 1985!

After the event, if you fancy sticking around some other things are happening:

The Hare & Hounds on Lea Bridge Road will be doing special lunch deals including home made pie and mash for £4.50.

Then in the evening a few of us locals will be having a station opening party also in the pub from about 6pm, we will have music and a projection of all the historical images I have collected so far, as well as further special deals on food. Poster is attached!
