Forty Hill - In the Shadow of the Hall
Meet at Forty Hall £8 per person Meet at Forty Hall, tour around the area
The hamlets of Bulls Cross & Forty Hill make up the old medieval manor of Worcesters. It’s an area rich in history and architecture.
Local historian, Joe Studman, ‘Jaywalks’, will take you on a circular walk to learn about Elsinge, Garnaults and Myddelton. You will pass The Dower House, The Hermitage, Jesus Church and Maidens Bridge and hear about their relationships to the Hall.
Joe is a qualified City Guide, and works for English Heritage, U3A, and The Enfield Society; and runs local history classes in Enfield. Joe’s walks are entertaining full of facts and stories.
 Walk lasts about 90 minutes
No need to book the walks. Just turn up.
