Event Description

Celebrate Love Parks Week (24th July-2nd August) by being introduced to some of Enfield’s most beautiful parks, farmland and countryside!

Join tour leaders Andy Hawksworth and Alan Mitellas on a walk that starts at Trent Country Park and then follows the London LOOP footpath through picturesque countryside and farmland, before exploring Hilly Fields, Forty Hall and finishing at the Albany Park Community Hub for an all-inclusive free lunch!  We will be looking at some of the fascinating aspects of wildlife, nature and history along the way, including two of Enfield’s Scheduled Ancient Monuments (if you wish to leave the group along the way, there will be several ‘breakpoints’ along the route, close to public transport facilities).

Meet 10:00am at the Trent Park main car park, near the Cockfosters Road entrance (approx. 2:00pm finish).  No need to book.  Wear comfortable footwear and bring something to drink.  Free lunch is available for walk participants only. Plan your trip home from Albany Park before attending (public transport information to return to Trent Park will be provided at the event). Total distance: approx. 9 miles.
