Event Description

These are exciting times for Myddleton Road with new shops opening and lots of refurbishments going on.

It’s still really important that the local community spends money on the street and shows support to the local traders.

So, We Love Myddleton Road are going to hold another Cash Mob!

What’s that?

It’s a simple way to use the community’s spending power to make a difference to our local shops, to show them some support and to meet some of your neighbours.

You simply pledge to spend £10 in the street’s shops or businesses and then turn up at a set time and get buying.

When’s it happening?

11am on Saturday October 31st – yes, it’s a Halloween Cash Mob!

Just turn up and meet everyone at the junction of Myddleton Road and Marlborough Road – outside the Red Sea Supermarket.

We’ll then head off to spend our cash in all the great businesses on the road

“Favourite Finds”

In the run-up to the Cash Mob, we also want the local community to share their Myddleton Road “Favourite Finds” – those amazing little discoveries you’ve made in the shops, bars and restaurants on Myddleton Road that other people in the community just might not know about!

You can post your Favourite Find below by completing the sentence: “My favourite find on Myddleton Road is…”

And if you’re on Twitter post something there including the @WeLoveMyddleton hash-tag, so we can retweet-it.

See you on the 31st!

The naughty fat chips from Vrisaki, the ridiculously hard-to-find Green Tabasco Sauce and the Apple and Ginger juice you can get from Londis (although some other fan keeps absconding with the supplies of the latter), and the dangerously perfect Whittington Whizzes from The Step are my Favourite Finds.

The George Moore price tag cards from Killick Stores - a piece of the road's history for £5!
