YOUR LOCAL PARK NEEDS YOU.......Volunteers,diggers and dreamers all welcome to help out in the first phase of our community orchard(and garden) in the old playground area in Arnos Park.Tea and coffee provided.bring suitable gloves, shoes and clothes and a spade or fork if you can.even if you can only spare 1or2 hours that would really help us a lot :-)
Friends of Arnos Park have secured funding from Enfield Council to kick start this community project. We will be planting a mulberry, quince, pear, plum, damsons and of course local heritage apples, with support & training from (www)The Urban Orchard Project.
We know the residents of Bounds Green use the park for dog walking, walking and tennis so it would be great if any of you felt able to get involved on the day or to the ongoing care of the orchard.
