Dear local residents!
Have you ever met London Assembly members? Would you like to learn about homelessness, food poverty and the political efforts to end deprivation around the world?
Join us on the 28th of May at 7.30pm at the Muswell Hill Soup Kitchen, where a group of volunteers will be holding a meeting with London Assembly members, discussing homelessness and poverty, and taking questions from the audience. That’s not all - people regularly visiting the Soup Kitchen agreed to prepare a short play/sketch about the issue and we are also planning an exhibition of local art in line with the theme!
So if you:
come along and help us make it a great event. It is a unique opportunity to understand the lives of homeless people, to hear their concerns, and to learn more about what our representatives both in Greater London Authority and in Parliament can do to end social inequality and injustice.
We can make it an extraordinary evening and learn a lot together - understanding is the first step towards change.
Your presence is crucial for us to send a strong message to our representatives and the people in the area in general.
Hopefully you will be there to join us.
