A leisurely linear walk of about 3 miles to highlight some of the ongoing improvements to water quality from Thames21's Salmons Brook Healthy River Challenge. The route will include our Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) in construction and the sites at the Glenbrook, Hounsden Spinney and stream and in Grovelands Park, ending at Grovelands café. A great chance to find out more about water quality issues, SuDS and how the Salmons Brook Healthy River Challenge is showing the way in a much needed change of approach for urban rivers in the UK.
Meet at 10.00 outside the parade of shops next to the Jolly Farmers Pub, Enfield Road (buses 121, 307 & 377), Enfield. Closest station is Oakwood on the Piccadilly line.
