Sewing Machine Workshop for Beginners & Refreshers. Saturday 1st February, 10:30-12:00 at Raphi & Flo (Creative Scholars), Winchmore Hill.

With expert seamstress Pat Stevens

This class is perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking to make sense of how to use a sewing machine.

You will 

• Learn your way around the workings, parts and components of a sewing machine

• By the end of the workshop you will have a made your first two makes - a make up brush holder and a tissues case.

• Learn how to set up and thread a machine and how to wind a bobbin

• Learn how to set the correct tension

• Learn how to sew straight seams

* Changing the needle

* You will practice some stitching in order to gain the skills you need to tackle your future projects.

What you need to bring -

All equipment and material provided. We have Janome sewing machines on site. Do bring a notebook in case you wish to jot down ideas. (This is a class for adults not suitable for children).

There is a follow up class you can book that will take place one month later on the 1st March.
