A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
‘Emotive, infectious, raw, shivering blues with shades of Peter Green. An exceptional singer with the most amazing voice you have ever heard’.
That’s how Blues Matters magazine describes this week’s offering at St Harmonica’s, The Bare Bones Boogie Band.
Hugely popular when they played at St Harmonicas twice in 2012 we are delighted to announce the return of The Bare Bones Boogie Band; a stripped-down, no nonsense blues band, closest in sound and attitude to the classic British blues boom of the 60s and 70s, when bands like Free, Fleetwood Mac and the Stones were inspired by BB King and Robert Johnson, and in America Janis Joplin was re-inventing Etta James.
Live, the BBBB give it their all, with no apologies for their rawness, nor for their tenderness – heavy, soulful blues!
With a new, critically acclaimed album, and veterans of virtually every Blues Festival ever held in the UK this is a band you really shouldn't miss. We're currently in the middle of the festival season and are really pleased to have been able to book this band.

Half time support from St Harmonica's duo John Crowther & Dave Thomas.
See you there.
