14th August 2011
1 - 2 p.m Open Mic
2 - 5 p.mLester Clayton Band + Dave Tither Band + Ryan Keen - acoustic soul/pop from this up and coming original band who have a great vibe and sound with catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics from their forthcoming album release!.
The Lester Clayton Band This local band have built up a good reputation for their original London Soul songs with great funky rhythms and strong thoughtful lyrics. Their appearance at the park is a first although some are sure to have seen them at local venues or supporting ED SHEERAN during the summer when they also have a new album release. Band members include Lester Clayton (guitar and vocals), Mehmet Raif (bass guitar), Wolfe Hogan (Violin), and 'Big Daddy' Steve - Percussion/Drums.
lThey will be supported by the Dave Tither Band and Ryan Keen.
These events are supporting the Ruth Winston Centre, a local charity based in Palmers Green who promote independence, well-being and activities for the over 50s.
Oh and we also suggest bringing along something to sit on and a brolly ... just in case the grass is damp and the rain decides to fall!!
