Song For Marion:
An affectionate, bitter-sweet comedy-drama in which grumpy Arthur (Terence Stamp) – from a generation that tended to internalise rather than express deep emotion – reluctantly agrees to step in and help out in his wife Marion’s (Vanessa Redgrave) unconventional local choir when her fading health means she can’t continue. But, under the watchful eye of Gemma Arterton’s choir coach, a strange transformation takes place. It forces Arthur, albeit reluctantly, into taking a journey of self-discovery, facing his fears of losing his wife and building bridges with his estranged son (Christopher Eccleston).
