To commemorate the four hundredth anniversary of water flowing in the New River there will be an event on Saturday September 28th at the Dugdale Centre in Enfield Town.
The cost per person will be £13 which will include all the activities outlined below plus coffee and biscuits, lunch and tea.
The day will include a guided walk round part of the New River loop, a visit to the “Water, Water, everywhere : 400 years of the New River” exhibition currently at the Dugdale Centre, a lecture on the New River by Dr Essex Lopresti, whose book “Exploring the New River” is well known, and live performances. You will also have the unique opportunity to view the full set of original 1775 survey maps of the New River by Robert Mylne.
