Cassius Cobbson is a dynamic multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, drums, guitar and bass guitar. For this Tomorrows Warriors presents show, Cassius will take his seat at the piano as he leads his trio through a mix of jazz, soul and Afro beat.
Cassius has already performed with an impressive list of established musicians such as: Chris Cobbson (guitarist for Courtney Pine), Hans Koller, Gary Crosby, Byron Wallen, Tony Haynes, Claude Deppa, Orphy Robinson as well as emerging artists: LostGirl, Jordsonline, Fixupboy and more. He has also performed with some the Tomorrow’s Warriors Soon Come Ensemble, The Grand Union Orchestra and (IM)Possibilities a number of venues and festivals including London Jazz Festival, Montclair Jazz Festival (USA), Cross The Tracks, Love Supreme Festival, Wilderness Festival and All Points East.
Drawing his influences from a mix of genres and artists including Carlos Santana, Elvin Jones, The Notorious B.I.G, Moses Boyd, Yussef Dayes, Kamaal Williams, and Goldie, his debut single AKWAABA has enjoyed strong support on BBC London radio as part of the BBC Introducing series.

Founded in 1991 by Queen’s Medal for Music recipient Gary Crosby OBE and Janine Irons MBE, Tomorrow’s Warriors helps aspiring young artists from diverse backgrounds discover their magic and achieve creative ambitions.

Their award-winning alumni include Moses Boyd, Nubya Garcia, Sheila Maurice-Grey, Cassie Kinoshi and Nerija, Femi Koleoso and Ezra Collective, Binker Golding, Shabaka Hutchings and Sons of Kemet, ESKA, Denys Baptiste, Soweto Kinch, Ben Burrell, Zara McFarlane, Camilla George, CHERISE, Nathaniel Facey and Empirical, Peter Edwards… the list goes on and on.
