Meet at main car park Trent Park Café / Trent Park
Trent Park is Enfield's largest park - this walk will explore the history and mystery of the Park.
The walk, arranged by the Friends of Trent Park and funded by Enfield Council’s Friends of Parks Project Fund, is accompanied by a with a special booklet ‘A Concise History of Trent Country Park’ written by Trent Park expert Alan Mitellas and available as a free download
The FREE walks, will be led by Alan himself, and will cover over a thousand years of history, from ancient woodland, royal hunting ground, to weekend retreat where fabulous weekend parties for the rich and famous were held in the 1930s, and not forgetting the specialised World War II POW camp which was based there.
Walkers will also be taken to see famous sights in the park, such as Sassoon’s Obelisk and the mysterious Camlet Moat.
Connecting the communities of Bowes Park and Bounds Green in north London.
