Event Description

Celebrate the launch of Love Parks Week by being introduced to some of Enfield’s most beautiful parks and countryside by a relative of Guy Fawkes!

Join tour leaders Andy Hawksworth and Alan Mitellas on a FREE walk that starts at Trent Park and then follows the London LOOP footpath through picturesque countryside and farmland, before exploring the ancient Whitewebbs Wood and finishing at Forty Hall.

We will be looking at some of the fascinating aspects of wildlife, nature and history along the way, including three of Enfield’s Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

You will also be shown one of the secret meeting places of the Gunpowder Plotters by Andy, a relative of none other than Guy Fawkes, who will explain the link his famous relative had with the area.

Meet 10:00am at the main car park near the Cockfosters Road entrance (approx. 2:00pm finish). No need to book. Wear comfortable footwear.

Bring a light lunch and something to drink. Plan your trip home from Forty Hall before attending (public transport information to return to Trent Park will be provided at the event). Distance: approx. 6 miles.
