Women in Jazz Media… Sylvie Noble with Laurie Rich Duo

Based in London, jazz vocalist and composer Sylvie Noble brings a set combined of original music and her favourite repertoire from the jazz and folk worlds.
A finalist of the 2025 Tina May Young Jazz Musician competition and anchored by a love for improvisation, her sound is steeped in sensitive honesty, technical virtuosity, and captivating storytelling. Her most recent project, Sylvie + Ursula, is a duo collaboration with double bassist Ursula Harrison, winner of the BBC Young Jazz Musician Award 2024. They released their debut album of original music New Eve in April 2026.
Laurie Rich is a Pianist and Composer working in the idiom of improvised music. He studies at London's Royal Academy of Music, after graduating from Cardiff University's School of Music in 2025. Laurie co-leads the Berlin-based modern-jazz collective 'biggerPicture' alongside Danish Bujazzo trumpeter Tobias Bech.
