This is a series of workshops aiming to let the participants learn Chinese cultural knowledge and practise the techniques of using brush to write and paint their own art works.
1:00pm-1:30pm Introduction:
Introduction to the Chinese paintings and calligraphy as well as Chinese fans culture.
1:30pm-3:00pm Chinese painting practice:
Demonstration to show participants some basic brush painting techniques on drawing different flowers, plants and animals subjects, and also some meaningful Chinese characters. Participants follow the tutor to practise on the special paper at same time. Individual instructions will be given during practice.
3:00pm-4:00pm Design and paint on fans:
Participants can choose from the subjects given to practice and take his/her own painting home.
