Are you aware of a web site called …airbnb…. there are many rooms advertised in this area for  letting on a casual basis.  I have used it for holiday visits in europe really great service and easy to use.  You couldn't leave personal stuff in the room as they would have other vistors coming and going, but it may suit your needs.  www.airbnb.co.uk/
