Hi Sophie
You could try the Burghley Road under 5s Community Centre ( www.burghleyroadplayspace.com) just a bus ride down Green lanes towards Turnpike Lane it's open as a drop-in / stay-and-play space both morning and afternoon. If you do manage to get there in time a cheap hot lunch is prepared by the volunteers/users. For under three's they have a Monday afternoon "Jolly Babies" session
We had enormous fun there when our two were tiny ... and made friends we still see! It's a really lovely place with a great history - a charity which has been independently run by volunteers for about 20 years now.
Hello
I second Richard's suggestion of Burghley road - it's great. Also, a couple of groups up at Pages Lane http://www.mhmc.org.uk/pages/childrens-activities.htm towards Muswell Hill....it's been a while since I went there but they were always very welcoming and open to everyone.
Oh forgot, there's CUFOs http://www.cufos.org.uk/groups%20that%20meet%20at%20Cufos.html
If you're not already on their mailing list, local NCT good for finding out what's going on locally/events, you can join the list by emailing boundsgreen@haringeynct.org
How old is your baby? Up to six months, you can go to Tiny Talk at Pages Lane on Tuesday afternoons. It's a couple of quid (I think? It's two years since I used to go) which gets you tea and biscuits, and some songs on the guitar.
Hi Sophie
the local mums group runs a parent & baby/toddler session every Thursday afternoon at 128 Myddleton Rd, 2.30-4.30pm.
No specific organised activities, just a few toys and a safe environment for the babies to explore whilst you get the opportunity to meet other local parents over tea & biscuits!
Ideal if both of you need a change of scenery and some social contact but don't want to venture too far afield...
