If Julian's kind offer doesn't sort it ... our nearest official Mac dealership is Gasteiner along the North Circular opposite Silver Street Station at Edmonton ... I'm a Windows user myself, but a couple of years back we had someone staying with us for a few days who had an emergency resolved by them very effectively.

Hi Marek,

This all got sorted in the end. Ended up buying a new Mac as my old computer was nearing the end of it's life and I had to upgrade the operating system etc.

I'll definitely keep you mind for the future though, as often good to know of Mac IT people who live locally.

What machine did you buy and how it is working for you?

With every computer even Mac important thing is to keep them up to data. They not only work safer but also perform quicker. Be sure that your Mac has its up to date.

I bought an i-Mac and is working fine. All latest software and am updating stuff when it pops up.
