As it was getting dark yesterday evening, we had guests round and one of them spotted a man apparently climbing over our back fence from the garden of the house that backs on to ours - we're on Lascotts so a house on Spencer Avenue. I ran to the window and just saw the bulk of a man before he disappeared again. Must have been between 4.30-5pm.

At the time I assumed it was the householder (naive! I know) but on reflection it was pretty dark, and they had no cause to be looking at their own shed roof or putting their foot on ours. I reported this to 101 this morning but am leaving a message here just to remind people to be secure. I always think our back yard is super safe as it's all back gardens and our windows and doors are good but clearly if someone's determined to try and get in...
