We recently had an exchange about Pest Control companies on the site -you may find some assistance on that discussion.

However, if they are Honey Bees, it would be a shame to treat them as "pests" Honey Bees are a vital part of the ecosystem - and currently diminishing in numbers. There is some advice about who may be able to help on the Enfield Beekeepers Association website.

Good luck - let us know how you get on!

Currently my next door neighbour and I have exactly the same issue.  They are white tipped bumble bees and may be protected.  I took advice off a chap from Protex last week, who advised to leave them be and they are generally harmless.  However, there is Honey starting to appear on the celing of my Bathroom!

I will give the Enfield beekeepers a call to see if they want to take the hive away, as it is right by my loft hatch, so it's made it out of bounds!

My neighbour might come and get it! He makes honey in Bowes Park - keeps bees. I know they've gone out and collected nests before. I will ask him.

Thanks Lucy. If you could send me a message to my inbox, we can arrange something. Cheers!

Thanks for the replies! upon closer inspection it appears to be Bumble Bees so nothing for it but to leave it until they die at the end of the year - then will be left with the lovely job of shifting hundreds of dead bees from all the boxes in the loft!
