Blake Road has been blessed with a river, well more of a stream really since the 23rd of December despite Thames Water being informed the morning it happened. The burst water main has now left a 3 feet round and 3 feet deep hole at the brow of the hill, and it has been gushing water for almost a week. It started under the pavement lifting the paving slabs leaving them unstable and uneven but has since 'moved' to the road, breaking up the tarmac. At least the fun of the ice skating down the road has gone now that its warmed up a little, but so much for Thames Water mission to conserve and reduce wasted water.

Apparently it is planned to be fixed but no date has been given yet, hopefully they will fix the pipe and repair the road and pavements.
