Bounds Green Business Association - take 2!
Hi Bowes and Bounders,
A while back I mentioned the idea of launching the Bounds Green Business Association with the dual aim of boosting local business while supporting our community.
This idea was very popular and local businesses have already made a lot of headway in realising this vision.
Salsa With Sureka, Laura London Yoga and others have all so far held successful fundraisers for local charity, North London Samaritans, not to mention local artist Gabriela Schutz' lovely local art trail that was a huge hit.
However, as I'm now busy setting up my English language school, I am unable to lead this initiative and, with a teaching background rather than any business specialism behind me, I don't feel I would be the right person for the job although I'd be more than happy to help - we could do a rota for hosting monthly meetings etc.
What do people think? All feedback appreciated. It would be great to galvanise the business community of Bowes and Bounds!

Hi Sureka, its a good idea to meet once a month. We can meet at La coppia or one of us and discuss ideas. I think its good to exchange ideas, but also belong and supporting each other. Why don't we set a date, and take it from there?

Might be worth linking in with the Myddleton Road Traders Association? I think the idea of a vision for the whole area is an excellent one. But I'm not a business owner! Have you had much contact with local councillors?

Great ideas, thanks Lucia! As I said, I'm not going to have time to devote to taking this forward but please spread the word as it may be the ideal project for a local business coach/ mentor.
