A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
We are delighted to announce that our bid to the London Borough of Enfield Residents Priority Fund has been successful. This scheme allows community groups in Enfield the opportunity to obtain small amounts of funding for carrying out activities in their local area.
We are very grateful to Bowes Ward Councillors for the approval and for our friends in other organisations who supported our bid.
We will be drawing on this support to help grow website membership - which is another cause for celebration as we reach our 1,000th member!
The Enfield Residents’ Priority Fund allows local community groups to set up their own projects - improving health, employment, education and living environment across the Borough. The allocation is split across the borough using the IMD (Indices of Multiple Deprivation) meaning more deprived wards get a bigger share of the total.
The scheme is still in operation and will continue into the next financial year if you have any proposals for community led projects you can find out more about the scheme on the LB Enfield website. There is also an online report on what previous funding has supported. In Bowes Ward this has included Street Parties, new cycles for local Police Community Safety Officers, The Sustainable Bowes Park environment days and additional CCTV monitoring.
