It was very good to see so many people at the Bowes Park Community Association  AGM on Wednesday.

You can read the details of the work of BPCA over the last year in their annual report;  which demonstrates just how many positive local activities the BPCA has a hand in running, supporting or enabling - including our community open spaces, the green gym a focus on planning and regeneration and even support for our vibrant Myddleton Road Market.

The AGM was an opportunity to look back and thank outgoing chair Dee Kushlick Williams for her tireless work over many years. As Chair Dee led the organisation through the process of registering as a Charity whilst continuing to deliver lots of local projects and activities. Dee was presented with a bouquet of flowers by Caroline Simpson on behalf of the Association.

As well as looking back over recent years  - the meeting also spent time making plans for the future.

Members discussed the things they liked about living in Bowes Park and made suggestions for things that could be improved. The ideas from the evening will help form the work of the Association over the next twelve months.

Watch this space as we will be including discussions on the site about future plans and opportunities to get involved in making them happen.
