Just thought I'd let you know that BTP is now on Twitter, @btp_uk.  There is just one account for the whole BTP, so it's not particularly focused on London, but we will be using to offer information on events, witness appeals, etc.  The good news is that it is used quite sparingly at present, so it won't clog up your timeline every time you log in
