We were woken at 6am this morning by the sound of alarms and shouting in Lascotts Road - the flat opposite was on fire. London Fire Brigade responded within minutes of an emergency call and quickly got it under control. Five people thankfully escaped unharmed.

LFB have now written and Tweeted about it and reminded people to check their smoke alarms. Incredible the amount of damage done by leaving a heater too close to a bed and lucky that people in the other flats in the building woke up to alert those in the affected flat.
