Gemma McNab and I are organising a Christmas Bazaar at 128 Myddleton Road on 11 Dec (12-4). We aim to offer mulled wine and music, but we need help and contributions with our other ideas:
Bring and buy of Christmas goodies (eg, mince pies, gingerbread people, shortbread, chocolates, homemade mincemeat, brandy butter, etc)
Give and take - bring those small items you no longer want (in good condition) so that others can "recycle" them as Christmas presents
Kids' corner - where kids can make simple decorations like paper chains and paper snowflakes
Craft table - homemade cards, gift tags, etc, to sell

Other ideas:
Recipe swap - bring copies of your favourite Xmas recipes for others to take
Deck the halls – demonstrations or finished examples of foliage, fruit, etc arrangements to use as Xmas table centrepieces or room decorations (I know a recipe for a beautiful frosted fruit centrepiece that's so easy!)

Any other ideas that people would like to suggest and be responsible for?

The whole idea came up at the recent AGM. We realise it's short notice but we need to gauge the response/interest so we can scale the event accordingly. It can't happen (in the above form anyway) without contributions and without volunteers to look after the various tables.

What do people think? Anyone prepared to volunteer?
