Cinema Club for the over 60s: I SWEAR; Thu Mar 5; 2pm; Finsbury Park PictureHouse

Hello all;

The next offering is the film I SWEAR at the Finsbury Park PictureHouse at 12:50pm on Thursday 5 February. The cost is now £9.99.  There is no longer a Silver Screen card.  All you have to do is show up.  This film is two hours long. So, it should finish around 4:15pm. There are a lot of trailers.

Here is the synopsis:

I SWEAR is a frank, funny and powerful new film inspired by the life and experiences of John Davidson, MBE, charting his journey from a misunderstood teenager in 1980’s Britain to present day advocate for the understanding and acceptance of Tourette Syndrome.

Diagnosed aged 15, John navigates his way against the odds through troubled teenage years and into adulthood, finding inspiration in the kindness of others to discover his true purpose in life.

Tourette syndrome is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by involuntary, repetitive movements and sounds known as tics, such as blinking, shrugging, sniffing, or throat clearing.

Warning:  There will be swearing.

Robert Aramayo just won the BAFTA for his performance in the film
