Hello all;

The next offering from the Cinema Club for the over 60s is the film Wicker at the Finsbury Park PictureHouse at 12pm on Thursday 5 November. The cost is £9.99.  However, I am happy to reimburse £5 to the first 20 people who bring me their ticket.  There is no longer a Silver Screen card.  All you have to do is show up.  This film is 1 hour and 45 mins. So, it should finish around 2:15pm.  We can have a chat afterwards about the film.

Here is the synopsis:
On the outskirts of a village by the sea, lives a Fisherwoman; smelly, single and perpetually ridiculed.

One day, fed up with her stuffy, small-minded neighbors, she commissions herself a husband to be made from wicker.

In an otherwise conservative town, this unconventional romance sparks outrage, jealousy and chaos.

The film stars the Oscar winning actress Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgard and Richard E Grant, who's currently doing Hey Fever in London’s West End.

James will be the point person.  I will be waiting inside, hopefully, from about 11:30am.  I sit on the right hand side when you come into the PictureHouse. Look for the Cinema Club sign.

Cheers,
James Cowling
