A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
Collage Arts, local regeneration charity and social action arts body [www.collage-arts.org], launches Create Your Future, new 3-year project for workless ethnic minority women from Haringey and Enfield to help them build better opportunities and progress to brighter futures, in partnership with Community Links and funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund. To mark the occasion, we have collaborated with 3 local community and arts providers to support International Womens Day (IWD) celebrations in the borough, recognising the support and achievement of women from wide-ranging communities, ages and backgrounds from Haringey and beyond.

Preeti Dasgupta, Collage Arts Project Manager said: “It’s fantastic to lead a project for women from Black, Asian, Ethnic Minority and Refugee communities, to use community engagement, arts & creative industries as a tool for change. The project will offer non-formal and safe spaces where women can share experiences, develop know-how, build networks and fulfil potential. Launching the Create Your Future project on International Womens Day in Wood Green’s cultural quarter and community hubs promotes an important message of inclusivity and gender equality, raising awareness about the role of women and communities in building brighter futures for themselves and recognising the contribution of women to the arts, community and wider world of volunteering and work.”
