Flexible fares {introduced on London's Transport in January 2015} to help part timers

Listening to the discussion on "Leading Britain Discussion" (LBC 97.3FM) discussion with Nick Ferrari on the topic of the expected maximum increase in the cost of regulated Rail Fares that are based on the RPI of 1.0% reported by ONS for July 2015, a number of the contributors mentioned the need for  flexible fares for part time workers who did not qualify for standard season tickets.

This topic was covered by a "Press Release from the Greater London Authority dated 11th November..."

The following headline subsequently appeared on the Evening Standard web site:

"London Underground fares shake-up: part-time workers to save hundre..."

Every traveller using the contactless payment systems (and TFL's Oyster readers) already benefits from Daily Fare Capping and Weekly Fare Capping.

Anyone travelling in or through the capital can automatically benefit from the cost saving.
