Short notice, sorry but info from the Friends of Priory Park:

Free! Family tennis coaching course, Priory Park, N8

Still remember that Olympics gold for tennis? Think that you just might have the next Andy / Andrea Murray in your circle? Or do you enjoy hitting a tennis ball around a court with the kids? Or secretly, just want to impress them with your skill and prowess?

Whatever the reason, come along and take advantage of the free family
tennis coaching from Highgate Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club www.highgate-cltc.co.uk  on offer in Priory Park, N8 www.fopp-n8.org.uk

It’s designed for an adult (and you don’t have to be a relative, you could be a friend) playing alongside a child or children, aged between four and 12.

The sessions will be run as a 6 week course and are designed to introduce tennis basics and to give you adults some practical hints and tips on fun exercises and drills to do with children on a tennis court. It will be based on the LTA mini tennis rally scheme, so we’ll be using
mini sized nets.

We think that it will encourage both adults and children to try out the game together and continue to have fun on a tennis court outside a formal coaching session.

The sessions start on Sunday, Oct 7, from 2.00 to 3.30 on the Priory Park courts, then Oct 14 and 21, then a two week break to cover half terms, then Nov 11, 18 and 25.

Priority will be given to those who can attend all 6 sessions.

And it’s free – funded by Give it a Go through the FreeSport strand of the Mayors Sport Legacy Programme (thank you, Boris!) celebrating the success of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

So, do you want to Give it a Go? To book places or if you have any enquiries, please email kirstyneilson@gmail.com or call  07818 438614
